Uhm, WOW!!!

Das Buch hab ich nicht kommen sehen. Ich war schon immer mächtig gespannt auf das Buch, weil es vor einigen Jahren schon die Runde gemacht hat, und jetzt wieder. Deswegen hab ich mich riesig gefreut, als ich bei der Leserunde mitmachen durfte und mir das Hörbuch anhören konnte.

Die Geschichte, der Schreibstil/Erzählstil hat mich wirklich gleich von Anfang an gepackt.

Cadence ist so eine extrem dramatische Erzählerin ihrer Geschichte, aber das hat es unglaublich unterhaltsam gemacht. Ich mochte die ganzen Charaktere, auf eine komische Art, und ich mochte all die unterschiedlichen Beziehungen unter ihnen. Die schwierigen familiären Beziehungen, die tolle Freundschaft der Lügner.

Ich fand es durch weg spannend und hab wirklich gut miträtseln können. Einen Teil der Auflösung hab ich mir gedacht, aber wirklich nur einen ganz kleinen, alles andere war wirklich ein absoluter Schock und eine Trägodie.

Die Sprecherin des Hörbuchs hat ihre Sache wirklich gut gemacht, ich hab ihr gerne zu gehört.

This book owns my heart and soul.

As someone who only discovered in her 30s that she's asexual, I could relate to Georgia, who is in her teens, on a level I never connected with any character before. Even though I don't think I'm aromantic, but who knows. Maybe I figure that out in my 40s (I still have a while to get there, tho)

Alice Oseman just knows how to rwrite, to tell a story, and how to bring characters in your life that are just so damn loveable and will mean so much to you.

I love the characters. They are all fleshed out, they all have a bit of a story, aside from being just friends to Georgie, while she figures things out.

I loved the friendships in this book. The overall theme of the book is really that platonic/friendship love is just as important as the love for a partner, in cases of aro ace people, they are even more important. And this friendship group went through it. The growing pains were real.
But I love how everything was resolved. It was just so damn beautiful.

I took my sweet time with this book, cause sometimes it hit a bit close to home and I felt overwhelmed. But I'm glad I read it and I sure as hell gonna reread it.

I highlighted the shit out of this book, the spine is broken, I've written in it, I used so many book tabs. THIS BOOK IS SO LOVED. I wish I had this one growing up, while I was the same age as Georgia, even a bit earlier. I'm glad this exists!!!

Ich hätte es echt nicht gedacht aber verdammt, ich liebe dieses Buch.

Die Charaktere sind einfach großartig. Ich liebe Poppy. Ich liebe Alex. Getrennt voneinander und zusammen. Ich wünschte nur, wir hätten auch Alex' POV bekommen. Das hätte das Ganze noch mal interessanter gemacht.

Die Freundschaft der Beiden ist großartig. Ich liebe wie unterschiedlich sie sind. Und wie es sich dann entwickelt hat. Deswegen mochte ich es, wie wir Einsicht in unterschiedliche Sommerurlaube bekommen haben um zu sehen wie sich alles entwickelt hat.

Bis sie sich endlich ihre Gefühle eingestanden haben. Ich liebe die langsame Entwicklung, wenn eigentlich jeder weiß, sie sollten zusammen sein aber sie kriegen es nicht auf die Reihe. Das ist absolut mein Ding.

Ich mochte aber, dass es nicht nur um die Beziehung der Beiden ging, sondern auch um ihre jeweiligen Probleme. Und das Thema zu Therapie.

Ich mochte den Schreibstil wirklich richtig sehr. Das Hörbuch war auch klasse, die Sprecherin hat ihren Job super gemacht.

Es gab immer mal zu langsame Momente, und den Konflikt im 3. Akt fand ich jetzt auch nicht so toll. Aber alles in allem. Ein richtig klasse Buch. Will es auf jeden fall als Taschenbuch haben, um fleißig markieren zu können, die ganzen Neckereien und Poppy's Sarkasmus.

Reread #1: Listen, I wish I could tell you, that I care about anything beside Rose and Dimitri, but...fine, I care about them 99.9%, the rest I care about the Rose/Lissa friendship, and Christian/Lissa. That's it.

Also the setting of this being just in winter and snow was everywhere, what a setting to dive into while in a heatwave, eh.

This is one of those books that had been on my tbr forever, I downloaded it months ago on audible, and I hate myself for waiting so freaking long to pick it up.

I'm so glad I finally did.

This book was just amazing. I love the story, the whole atmosphere, the characters, and all the different types of relationships.

I love both Yadriel and Julian so much. I love Maritza!!!
I love the frienship between Yadriel and Maritza. I love the growing relationship between Yadriel and Julian. It felt so natural. It was amazing. The banter, THE CHEMISTRY.

This book also gave me all the family feels. I mean, geez. THAT WAS A LOT. And there was a lot of learning that needed to be done. BUT IT WAS SO DAMN GOOD.

Listen. I have trust issues, so I always think no one is extra nice to you for absolutely no reason. So I may have seen the big thing coming. BUT I DIDN'T CARE, cause it was still so well done.

The audiobook was so great. The narrator did an incredible job. And I really loved the interview at the end with Aiden Thomas. I can't wait to read/listen to the rest of their books.
