Where to start, oh, where to start.
I loved this book with every fiber of my being.
Right from the start I was in it. Aiden Thomas writes wonderful characters that I love right away, Teo has a spot saved in my heart and he's never going to leave. And his friendship with Niya is my everything, not to mention everything that was going on between Teo and Aurelio.
The story itself was a lot of fun, which feels totally weird to say, given that this story is about trials where at the end of it all the winner has to basically kill the loser. But I love trial stories like that, especially seeing people who haven't trained for such trials grow and kind of band together against the stronger ones.
The revelations at the end of the book hit me like a semi truck stuffed full of trust issues. Will I ever learn.
I can't wait to get my hands on the second book cause I got my bag of candy ready for the end of the world road trip.
