Der Froschkönig oder der eiserne Heinrich
The Frog King, or Iron Henry – El Rey Rana o Henry de hierro (cuento de hadas)
Tommi Horwath (Herausgeber), Eduardo Hernández San Deogracias (Übersetzer)
Dear Reader,
this book is based on the original version of Grimm's Tales, which have been translated into English by Susi Ramberger and into Spanish by Eduardo Hernández San Deogracias. This book contains all three language versions. Chapter headlines have been added to the original tales in order to provide a convenient structure. The sections are organized in a way, that they start with the German original text, followed by the English and - last, but not least - by the Spanish version. This enables the reader - via the medium of the e-book - to navigate between its individual sections and paragraphs and - therefore - check up on words and sentences. The translations orientate themselves stylistically towards both the linguistic style of the tale itself as well as the specific kind of German, as it was spoken at the time of the Brothers Grimm. Regardless of whether this e-book will be read by language enthusiasts, language students or lovers of fairy tales - or whether its tales will be enjoyed by oneself or read out to an audience: may it serve as delightful entertainment, by all means!
