Horst J. Beck wurde am 14.06.1909 in MünchenSchwabing geboren. Sein Aufenthalt und Schulausbildung erlebte er in verschiedenen Orten in Deutschland und Österreich. Nach dem Krieg hatte er Aufenthalte in Paris, wo er Begegnungen mit Hans Hartung und den Malern der Ecole de Paris hatte.
