I HEARD THE ENGLISH AUDIOBOOK!
cover: There are different versions with different covers (also in English and German). I think the red one (german book) with the painted woman from January 2020 is fitting and appealing to me.
narrator: I heard a version with Virginia Leachman as the narrator. She has an enjoyable voice and I liked listening to her, but she could have read a bit faster.
characters: The main character is Mrs. Dalloway and I couldn't really become comfortable with her. But there are a lot of other characters included as Peter Walsh, Septimus etc.
opinion: I had to concentrate to this audiobook hardly because it wasn't really easy to follow. There were a lot of leaps from the view from one character to another and sometimes it wasn't easy to know who is thinking/talking now. I think this would be easier to follow by reading a book instead of listening to an audiobook. The good point on this is that you are getting to know the feelings and thoughts of the different characters and therefore it is easier to put oneself in their shoes. So you are gaining a deep insight. It was also interesting because of that to get to know the different backgrounds of the people (early love, aftermath of war etc.). Hence, it is also diversified and entertaining, but this all couldn't really reach me.
